Job Description Summary
Develops and executes an instruction program for the users, in order to maximize the independency of the user with regard to the operation of the system and choice of functions.
Customizes the system to the specific wishes of the users, in close contact with project management and account management, in order to maximize the performance for each specific user.
Takes care of implementation of trial installations (in cooperation with service), in order to get it working and to get the maximum information for evaluation by the product group. Monitors the use of each system, by regular contact with the users, in order to solve problems regarding the operation of the system or to adapt the system to changed user wishes. Takes care of demonstrations and presentations, where required, to stimulate the sales of the assigned equipment. Keeps in close contact with the product group, in order to increase/maintain the application knowledge and be timely informed about new developments. Participates in the development of new functionality or the development of improved system settings.
Report to
As Application Specialist, you will report Modality & Clinical sales manager-Korea DCP team.
Aim of the job
Application Specialist, Digital Pathology Solutions is a key position for the growth of Philips Digital Pathology Solutions. As a member of the Korean team, the Application Specialist works hand in hand with Modality & Clinical Sales Managers and customers in both pre and post sales activities to understand customer needs, communicate value of digitized workflow and drive adoption of digital pathology in the work place for newly installed labs.
Key Areas of Responsibility
As Application Specialist, Korea, you will be responsible for:
- Support sales in delivering content rich, and relevant product demonstrations.
- Providing workflow analysis to understand customer needs are part of pre-sales activities.
- Drive for the conversion of customer demonstrations to Orders.
- Drive for 100% digitization of histo-pathology at customer site post-installation via training and ongoing monitoring programs.
Authorities
Authority to make decisions on all customer training activities as directed by Management Team Digital Pathology Solutions. All of this in line with the DCP Group Strategy and authorization matrix.

Education & Experience
- BA/BS Degree required
- Excellent customer interaction skills, patience and determination to succeed
- Strong ability to learn domain knowledge and link product to application.

- Microsoft Office & SAP Skills
- Ability to travel ~70%
