The Digital Data and Insights group leads, connects and strengthens MBIE's core data and insights, digital and technology capabilities.
The Manager Data Management and Modelling is responsible for the ingestion (collection), storage (data warehouse) and curation (management of datasets) of MBIE data. The Manager Data Management and Modelling has a leading role in the optimization of MBIE wide data assets and the provision of well curated data sets to the business units and other consumer groups across MBIE.
The Manager Data Management and Modelling works closely with the Partnership and Programme teams to understand the needs of business groups and translates these into data models to support their business enablement.
The Manager Data Management and Modelling work closely with the Chief Data Officers’ team to ensure standards, privacy and ethics frameworks are routinely applied to all data work.

Skills and Experience Required
- Expert knowledge and wide experience across data modelling disciplines with an in-depth understanding of best practice principles.
- Proven ability at a senior level to lead the design of data modelling from complex data sources.
- Ability to successfully deliver output that meets client needs and supports their business enablement.
- Proven ability and experience of developing motivating and leading data professionals.
- Evidence of comprehensive industry knowledge and experience of data management and modelling current and emerging technologies.
- Proven experience of implementing continuous improvement to data management and modelling capabilities that support business enablement.
